GERS hosts two events per year to recruit graduate student cohorts into the College of Enigneering at UW-Madison.

Summer Undergraduate Research Experiences (SURE)

2 SURE students with a graduate mentor posing at the College of Engineering's Research Undergraduate Experience annual poster session.

Each summer, GERS recruits advanced undergraduates to participate in a 10-week research program: Summer Undergraduate Research Experience SURE.  This opportunity is a way to learn in a hands-on way about conducting research, be exposed to other disciplines, network, take part in social activities, and gain the tools necessary to succeed in graduate school.

Opportunities in Engineering Conference (OPPS)

Each fall, the OPPS Conference brings in prospective graduate students to learn about the graduate school and research within the College of Engineering. Additionally, students have the opportunity to meet with prospective advisors.
